Interview.

Ma. Fernanda (MF):  Do you like watching films?

Guillermo Pez (GP) Yeah, for sure! I do love it. In fact, when I finished secondary school, I was about to study film making at ISCAA, but finally, I decided to study journalism.

MF: Which is your favourite film?

GP: Well, I can’t answer that question! I like so many films! I can tell you what I don’t like. I really hate Hollywood films. I prefer Argentinian or European films.

MF: So… I suppose you admire many film directors too!

GP: You’re right. I think that Emir Kusturica, Pablo Trapero, Woody Allen, Leonardo Favio and many others, are great film directors.

MF: I imagine you have many anecdotes related to the cinema. Can you share one?

GP: (laughter) When I was a little kid, I went to the cinema four times to watch “E.T.” I loved it!
I also remember that on a Sunday afternoon in 1998, I went to “Cinemark” to see an Iranian film called “La Manzana”. In the Screen next to ours, they were watching “La Máscara del Zorro” with Antonio Banderas as the main character. It was full of people and we could hear the sounds of the special effects. It was terrible!

MF: Thanks Guillermo! You have just shared a lot of interesting things with us.

GP: It’s been a pleasure!
